7 Data entry/Programming

7.1 General

Printing data can be created, changed, saved and opened using varying input devices,
e.g. TFT-Touch display, mouse etc.
It is also possible to control the printer using external software through interfaces
(RS232/Ethernet). For this, the Leibinger interface protocol is implemented in the printer of
the JET3 Series and there is also a scripting language available.
Further more it is possible to control several functions (e.g. job selection) with digital signals
(e.g. from a PLC).
In the following the operation and programming with the TFT-Touch display are
described.
