Options: Communication interface (2)
There is Ethernet interface and a serial interface available. Please see the chapter 5.5
Interfaces for details about the hardware requirements. As an option it is also possible
to disable all interfaces.
Options: Communication protocol (3)
There are three kinds of communication protocols available.
JET3 protocol:
This protocol is required for the JET3 script language
ExternText protocol:
This protocoli s required for the <ExternText> function.
Please see chapter 8.7.5 Extern Text for details.
JET2 protocol:
With this protocol JET2 software scripts can be used with the Printer printer.
Options: Disable interfaces (4)
With this option selected the serial interface and the Ethernet interface will be disabled.
Options: Ethernet interface (5)
The default port for the Ethernet interface is 3000. This setting can be changed with the
respective input field (6). For an Ethernet connection also the IP address settings are
important. Please see chapter 7.3.1.6 IP-Address for details.
Options: Serial interface (7)
The serial interface offers 2 options for adjustments.
Baud rate (8):
The bit rate can be adjusted to an external sender/receiver. There are several bit rate
settings available. Make sure that the bit rate selected corresponds with the settings of
the external device.
Parity (9):
With the parity settings the kind of parity check is defined. Make sure that the kind of
parity check selected corresponds with the settings of the external device.
