Step 3 Run:
ip route-static vpn-instance vpn-source-name destination-address { mask | mask-
length } nexthop-address [ preference preference | tag tag ]

A static route is configured for a specified VPN instance and allowed to inherit the cost of the
route to which the static route is iterated.
vpn-source-name specifies the VPN instance that is bound to the L3VE sub-interface, and
nexthop-address specifies the destination address of the route to which the static route is iterated.
Step 4 Run either of the following commands:

l If both the direct-route cost and direct-route track pw-state commands are run, the cost of
routes to the directly connected network segment is calculated according to the following rules:
l If the PW is active, the cost is the value configured using the direct-route cost command.
l If the PW is standby or Down, the cost is the value configured using the direct-route cost
command plus that configured using the direct-route track pw-state command. If the
calculated cost is greater than the maximum value (4294967295), 4294967295 takes effect.
l If both the direct-route cost and direct-route track vrrp commands are run, the cost of routes
to the directly connected network segment is calculated according to the following rules:
l If the device is the master of the VRRP backup group, the cost is the value configured using
the direct-route cost command.
l If the device is a backup device of the VRRP backup group, the cost is the value configured
using the direct-route cost command plus that configured using the direct-route track
vrrp command. If the calculated cost is greater than the maximum value (4294967295),
4294967295 takes effect.
l If both the direct-route cost and direct-route track eth-trunk commands are run, the cost of
routes to the directly connected network segment is calculated according to the following rules:
l If the Eth-Trunk interface is master or the system cannot query the state of the Eth-Trunk
interface, the cost is the value configured using the direct-route cost command.
l If the Eth-Trunk interface is a backup interface, the cost is the value configured using the
direct-route cost command plus that configured using the direct-route track eth-trunk
command. If the calculated cost is greater than the maximum value (4294967295),
4294967295 takes effect.
l If both the direct-route cost and direct-route degrade-delay commands are run and the L3VE
sub-interface goes from Down to Up, the cost of routes to the directly connected network segment
is calculated according to the following rules:
l After the delay expires, the cost is the value configured using the direct-route cost command.
l Before the delay expires, the cost is the value configured using the direct-route cost
command plus that configured using the direct-route degrade-delay command. If the
calculated cost is greater than the maximum value (4294967295), 4294967295 takes effect.
Run:
quit
Return to the system view.
To import static routes to the BGP routing table automatically, run the import-route
static command.
To import static routes to the BGP routing table manually, run the network command.
