4. From the CDM-570A/AL front panel, select the CONFIG: CnC  Mode submenu. The
appearance of the submenu differs as follows:
CDM-570AL (L-Band):
CnC Mode: Off On APC
Action
For either unit, the available CnC selections are:
• Off
• On (normal)
For the CDM-570AL only: First, use the
Do not select Action at this time. Press ENTER when done. The nested APC screen
appears:
APC: SideA C,X,Ku,Ka-band
SideB C,X,Ku,Ka-band ◄ ►
On the top line: Use the
X, Ku, or Ka-band.
On the bottom line: Use the
B: C, X, Ku, or Ka-band.
Press ENTER when done.
For the CDM-570A only: On the top line, use the ▲▼arrow keys to select the specific
CnC-APC mode – the screen appearance updates accordingly:
Mode: APC,Side-A, C-band
Act?N APC is not active
Press ENTER after selecting the Side A frequency, and then repeat the process to select
the Side B frequency. Do not select Act? (Activate) as Y (Yes) at this time. Note the
following:
If Side A is selected at both sides, or Side B is selected at both sides, both modems
will display a Frame Sync fault (under Rx faults). No further action is possible until
this error has been corrected.
