◄ ►
Use the
arrow keys to select a Tx Alpha Filter Rolloff Factor (Txα) of .35, .25, .20, .15, .10,
or .05. Press ENTER.
• .35 is the default Tx Alpha Filter Rolloff Factor (Txα).
• Set the Rx Alpha Filter Rolloff Factor (Rxα) to .35 when the Txα of the received
signal is .25 or .35.
• Set the Rxα to .12 when the Txα of the received signal is .05, .10, .15, or .20.
• When operating in CDM-570 Compatible Mode, the Txα is fixed to the default
value of .35. Selection of this feature and its options becomes disabled and
unavailable. See Section 6.2 for further information.

Description
Sect.
(FEC) Select the method of FEC used for reception (Viterbi, TPC, etc.). FEC type
takes the highest configuration priority.
(Demodulation) Select the demodulation type used for reception (BPSK, QPSK, 8-
PSK, etc.). The choice of demodulation will depend on the FEC type chosen.
(FEC Code Rate) Select the FEC Code Rate used for reception (Rate 1/2, Rate 3/4,
etc.). The choice of Code Rate will depend on both the FEC type and Demodulation
selected.
(Data Rate) Select the receive data rate, in steps of 1 bps. The choice of data rate
will depend on the FEC type, Demodulation, and Code Rate selected.
NOTE: This parameter is not available when VersaFEC ACM (IP-ACM) or
VersaFEC-2 ACM (V2-ACM) is selected.
(Symbol Rate) Used with VersaFEC ACM (IP-ACM) or VersaFEC-2 ACM
(V2-ACM) modes only. When either ACM mode is active, the CONFIG:Rx menu
changes the Data option to Symb.
(Frequency) Select the transmit frequency, in steps of 100Hz.
CDM/R-570AL(L-Band) range: 950 MHz to 2250 MHz
CDM-570A (70/140 MHz) range: 50 to 90 MHz and 100 to 180 MHz
(Acquisition) Set the amount of frequency uncertainty the demodulator will search
over in order to find and lock to an incoming carrier.
(Descrambler) Select whether or not data descrambling is used.
