Keyless Entry System (If Equipped) Symptom Diagnosis
NOTE:
Diagnose keyless entry system referring to the following table after confirming that power door lock
system is good condition.
Condition
No door is locked or
unlocked by only key-
less entry transmitter
Turn signal lights are
not flashed when
doors are locked or
unlocked by keyless
entry transmitter
Interior light does not
turn ON when doors
are unlocked by key-
less entry transmitter
Power Door Mirror Control System (If Equipped) Symptom Diagnosis
Condition
No power door mirror
operates
One power door mir-
ror does not operate
Possible Cause
Transmitter battery dead
Transmitter faulty
Code registration error
Key remainder switch (in ignition switch) faulty
Wiring or grounding faulty
Power door lock controller faulty
Wiring or grounding faulty
Power door lock controller faulty
Wiring or grounding faulty
Power door lock controller faulty
Possible Cause
Fuse blown
Wiring or grounding faulty
Power door mirror switch faulty
Wiring or grounding faulty
Power door mirror switch faulty
Power door mirror actuator faulty
Correction
Replace battery.
Replace transmitter.
Perform code registration referring
to "Transmitter Code Registration
Procedure" in this section.
Check ignition switch referring to
"Ignition (Main) Switch ON-Vehicle
Inspection" in Section 8C.
Check keyless entry system circuit
referring to "Keyless Entry System
Circuit Inspection" in this section.
Check keyless entry system circuit
referring to "Keyless Entry System
Circuit Inspection" in this section.
Check keyless entry system circuit
referring to "Keyless Entry System
Circuit Inspection" in this section.
Correction
Replace fuse to check for short.
Repair circuit.
Check power door mirror switch
referring to "Power Door Mirror
Switch Inspection" in this section.
Repair circuit.
Check power door mirror switch
referring to "Power Door Mirror
Switch Inspection" in this section.
Check power door mirror actuator
referring to "Power Door Mirror
Actuator Inspection" in this section.
