In the following cases, the machine uses normal memory transmission even if
parallel memory transmission is enabled.
Send later transmission
•
Broadcasting
•
Transmission of an Auto Document only
•
Transfer request transmission
•
When Image Rotation before Tx is enabled, and an A4 sideways or
•
8.5 x 11" sideways original is detected
If the other terminal is busy
•
If the external telephone connected to the machine is in use
•
When communication switch 0A, bit 0 is set to 1, and the machine is
•
using memory transmission when redialing
When remaining memory space is less than the threshold for parallel
•
memory transmission (default = 512 kB)
When the original is located on the exposure glass
•
When using G4 transmission, parallel memory transmission is normally
disabled, because transmission using G4 is much faster than scanning. As a
result, G4 transmission using parallel memory transmission takes about twice
as long as normal memory transmission (using an ITU-T #1 test chart).
If the document contains pages with complicated images or it is a photo
document using halftone, parallel memory transmission may be faster than
normal memory transmission. If the user commonly sends this type of fax
message, enable parallel memory transmission for G4 transmission by
changing system switch 11, bit 7 to 1.
