+5VE is the 5 volt supply for energy saver mode. It saves energy by
supplying +5V power only for the components needed in energy saver mode.
Note that turning the main switch off is the same as entering auto shut off
mode.
Returning to standby mode
- From energy saver level 1 or 2 -
If one of the following is performed, the machine returns to standby mode:
•
Pressing the Clear Mode/Energy Saver key
•
Placing an original in the ADF
•
Lifting the ADF cover
The recovery time from energy saver level 1 is about 3 seconds.
The recovery time from energy saver level 2 is about 10 seconds (115 V
machines) or about 35 seconds (230 V machines).
- From auto shut off mode -
The machine returns to the ready condition when the main switch is turned
on.
The recovery time is less than 30 secondsfor 115V machines, and less than
35 seconds for 230V machines.
