SCANNER UNIT

4.3 ORIGINAL SIZE SENSOR

1. Remove the exposure glass. (See Exposure Glass/Operation
Panel/Upper Cover.)
2. Remove the lens covers. (See Lens Cover.)
3. Change the original size sensors [A]: two for 115 V machines and three
for 230 V machines (2 screws each).

4.4 LENS BLOCK/SBU ASSEMBLY

1. Remove the exposure glass and operation panel. (See Exposure
Glass/Operation Panel/Upper Cover.)
2. Remove the lens covers. (See Lens Cover.)
CAUTION: Use extreme care during the removal and installation of the
flat ribbon cable, carefully open the latch on the connector
before removing or inserting the cable.
3. Disconnect the flexible harness [B].
4. Remove the grounding wire [C]. (1 screw)
5. Remove the lens block [D] (4 screws).
6. Perform the scanner and printer copy adjustments as described on page 6-39..
