REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Remove as follows:
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the wiring from the starter.
3. Remove the starter.
install in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque: 31-41 N.m
(3.2-4.7 m-kg, 23-34 ft-lb)
DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
Disassemble in the numbered order shown in the figure. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly,
1. Magnetic switch 4. Brush-holder
2. Bolt
assembly
5. Yoke
3. Rear cover
6. Drive housing (front cover)
7. Drive pinion
8. Armature
