OIL PAN
OIL PAN
REMOVAL
Disconnect the battery negative cable.
Drain the engine oil.
Mount the engine support (49 BOI 7 5AO) and suspend the engine,
Remove the the parts in the numbered sequence shown in the figure.

covers
2. Exhaust pipe
bracket
3. Exhaust pipe
4. Turbocharger
bracket
5. Oil pan
6. Gasket
Removal Note
1. Remove the oil pan by prying only at the points
shown in the figure.
2. Loosen the mounting member bolts until the oil pan
can be removed.
Caution
a) Do not force a pry tool between the
block
and pan to prevent damaging the contact
surfaces.
b)Do not damage or scratch the contact sur-
face when removing the old sealant.
