ALTERNATOR
' REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Disconnect the wire and connector from the al-
ternator.
3. Remove the bolts.
4. Remove the V-belt
5. Alternator
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque:
Adjusting bolt: 19-24 N.m
(1.9-2.6 m-kg, 14-19 ft-lb)
Installation bolt: 37-52 N.m
(3.6-5.3 m-kg, 27-36 f&lb)
7. Adjust the tension of the V-belt.
Deflection
New belt: 6-9 mm (0.31-0.35 in)
Used belt: 9-10 mm (0.35-0.39 in)
