FUEL SYSTEM
Cover
(work
away
from spark)
6. Connect a jumper
wire to the check connector
(vel-
low terminal).
7. Turn the ignition
switch ON.
6. Check that fuel does not leak from injector.
Note
After 5 minutes a very slight amount of fuel
leakage from the injector
is acceptable.
9. If fuel leaks,
replace
the injector.
Injector
(Volume test)
1. Connect
a suitable
vinyl hose to the injector
and
place the hose in the container,
or graduated
glass
etc.
Note
The hose should be 2 m (78 in) or more
2. Connect
the terminals
of the fuel pump check con-
nector with a jumper
wire.
Warning
Be extremely careful when working with fuel;
always work away from sparks or open flames.
3. Apply
battery
voltage
to each injector,
using the
SST.
4. Turn the ignition
switch ON.
5. Check
the injection
volume.
Specification:
32-41
cc
(1.95-2.50
cu in)/15 sec.
6. If not correct,
replace
the injector.
