Steering gear and linkage
Secure the mount part of the removed gear and link-
age in a vise.
Caution
Be sure to insert protective material (such as
copper plates) between the part and the jaws
of the vise.
lie-rod ends
Before removing the tie-rod ends, make a mark on
the threaded parts as a guide for installation.
Oil pipe
1. Make matching marks on the pressure pipe and
the return pipe and the valve case, and then re-
move the pipes.
Note
The matching marks help make sure the pipes
are relnstalled in the correct position.
2. Remove the washers in the pressure pipe and the
return pipe with the SST.
