Adjustment
1. Loosen bolt @.
2.
Loosen nut @.
3. Turn adjusting bolt @and adjust the belt tension.
4. After adjustment, tighten bolt @and nut @.
Bolt @tightening torque:
36-54 N.m
(3.7-5.5 m-kg, 27-40 ft-lb)
Nut @tightening torque:
31-46 N.m
(3.2-4.7 m-kg, 23-34 ft-lb)
LEAKAGE OF POWER STEERING FLUID
Check for fluid leakage in the places shown by arrows below.
Note
Start the engine, and check for fluid leakage after turning the steering wheel completely
to the left and right to apply fluid pressure. Do not, however, keep the steering wheel in
the fully turned position for more than 15 seconds.
