STEERING GEAR AND LINKAGE
Steering gear and linkage
Secure the mounting part of the removed gear and
linkage in a vise.
Caution
Be sure to insert a soft, protective material be-
tween the part and the jaws of the vise.
Tie-rod ends
Before removing the tie-rod ends, make a mark on
the threaded part of the tie-rods to use as a guide
for installation.
Tie-rods
1, Uncrimp the locking washer.
2. After wrapping the rack in a rag and securing it
in a vise, remove the tie rod from the rack.
