INSPECTION

5. Measure
the oil clearances
of the camshaft
and cyl-
inder head.
(1) Remove
any oil, or dirt from the journals
and
bearing
surface.
(2) Set the camshaft
on the cylinder
head.
Note
Do not install
the HLA,
when
measuring
the
oil clearance.
(3) Position
the plastic-gauge
on top of the jour-
nal in the journal
axial direction.
(4) Install the camshaft
caps according
to the cap
number
and arrow, tighten
them in the order
shown
in the figure.
Tightening
torque:
II-14
N.m
(1.15-1.45
m-kg,
100-126
in-lb)
(5) Loosen
the camshaft
cap bolts in the order
shown
in the figure.
