Turn ignition switch to IGN posi-
tion (with engine running).

Check voltage of line "WE" of
warning readout connector with
alternator co""ectors.

1. Wiring (WE) between warning
readout and alternator is 1) Replace wiring.
short-circuited to ground.
2) Replace alternator.
'12V is Indicated.
2) Defective alternator.
OK
Replace warning readout.
