10.3 Preparing the final inspection
1. Enter the serial number of the pressure reducer in the test report.
2. Check the pressure reducer for external damage.
Requirement:
The pressure reducer shows no signs of external damage.
3. Check the labels 274 on the pressure reducer.
Requirement:
The label 274 on the pressure reducer is present and legible
(see "18.5 Labels for pressure reducers", page
4. Check the serial number embossed on the pressure reducer
for legibility.
Requirement:
The embossed serial number is legible.
5. Check the connection thread on the pressure reducer.
To do so:
• Screw the cap 504 onto the inhalation outlet 257.
• Screw the hand-screwed connection 273 onto the valve of
the oxygen cylinder.
Requirement:
The connection threads show no sign of external damage and
turn smoothly.
