9.3 Preparing the final inspection
1. Enter the serial number of the pressure reducer in the test report.
2. Check the pressure reducer for external damage.
Requirement:
The pressure reducer shows no signs of external damage.
3. Check the label 231 on the pressure reducer
(see "18.5 Labels for pressure reducers", page
Requirement:
The label 231 on the pressure reducer is present and legible.
4. Check the serial number embossed on the pressure reducer for
legibility.
Requirement:
The embossed serial number is legible.
5. Check the connection thread on the pressure reducer.
To do so:
• Screw the cap 504 onto the inhalation outlet 205.
• Screw the adapter 507 onto the pressure outlet 209.
• Screw the hand-screwed connection 230 onto the valve of
the oxygen cylinder.
