5-5. UPDATE Mode

5-5. UPDATE Mode
This mode is used for updating the CPU firmware.
The UPDATE mode can be set by entering "UPDATE"" from the maintenance terminal. The message
"UPDATE=>" will be displayed as the prompt. Enter the command number (or command) after this
prompt and press " key. The command will be executed. Entering "quit"" after this prompt terminates
the UPDATE mode

The UPDATE mode cannot be activated from other mode. To activate the UPDATE mode, terminate the
current mode first.
After the CPU firmware is updated, the GY-8240 will be automatically reset.

5-5-1. Quit Tool

Function: Exits the UPDATE mode and returns to the maintenance mode.
Operation: Enter "quit"".

5-5-2. Display Help Menu

Function: Displays the UPDATE mode menu.
Operation: Enter "help"".
