k. CH05-Pinch Roller and Cleaning Roller Solenoid Check
Function: Checks the functions of the pinch solenoid and cleaning roller.
Operations:
(1) Without loading any cassette, enter "CH05"". The cleaning roller and pinch roller operation check
mode is entered and the following will be displayed.

Entering H, J, K, L or " ; " executes the operations of the cleaning roller and pinch roller listed below.
* Protection operations are performed after a certain period of time, so that the Cleaning Roller ON-to-
OFF operation is stopped.
If protection operations are on, the operations will be stopped for several minutes and recovered after
the cleaning roller has cooled down.
H: Repeats Normal Cleaning Roller ON to OFF
J: Repeats Emergency Cleaning Roller ON to OFF
K: Pinch Roller ON
L: Thread
" ; ": Operations stop (Pinch OFF)
" : ": Exits the cleaning roller and pinch roller operation check mode.
(2) Check the following.
1 Check that when the H key is pressed, the normal cleaning solenoid (top)is activated, the cleaning
roller touches the drum and then moves away.
2 Check that when the J key is pressed the emergency cleaning solenoid (bottom) is activated, the
cleaning roller touches the drum and then moves away.
3 Check that when the L key is pressed to set the threading state and then the K key is pressed, the
pinch lever approaches the pinch roller, and a slapping sound is produced.
4 Check that when the " ; " key is pressed, the pinch lever moves away from the pinch roller side and a
slapping sound is produced.
(3) To end, enter " : ".
When the above fails:
When the operations of the cleaning roller are faulty
. Check mechanical faults.
. Check the cleaning roller solenoid drive circuit (HN-268 board).
. Check the cleaning solenoid.
When the pinch roller does not function
. Check the pinch solenoid circuit (HN-268 board).
. Check the pinch solenoid.
