6. Adjust the TG-3 (Exit Guide) Height
(1) Set the L cassette and put the unit into the
FWD mode.
(2) Adjust the height of TG-3 by turning the TG-
3 height adjustment nut with the tape guide
adjustment screwdriver in order to satisfy
specification 2.
7. Adjust the TG-4 (Threading Roller)
Height
(only when the specification is not
satisfied in VAR _ _ _ _ _ 1 time normal speed
mode and VAR _ _ _ _ _ 5 times normal speed
mode)
(1) Put the unit into the EJECT mode.
(2) Take out the cassette.
(3) Turn the upper flange of TG-4 using the tape
guide adjustment driver and adjust the height
of TG-5 so that the specification 2 is satis-
fied.
(4) Set the L cassette and put the unit into the
VAR _1 time normal speed mode or VAR
_5 times normal mode. At this time, check
that the tape running condition satisfies
specification 2.
If it is not satisfied, repeat steps (1) through (4)
mentioned above.
8. Recheck the Tape Running at Drum
Exit Side
Refer to steps 3 through 7.
If the specification 2 is not satisfied, perform the
adjustment in step 6 again.
(If the specification 2 is not satisfied in VAR _1
time normal speed mode and VAR _5 times
normal mode, perform the adjustment in step 7
again.)
9. Adjust the Slant Guide Slantness
Adjust the slantness of the slant guide so that
specification 3 is satisfied.
