4-2. CTL/TC Head Zenith Adjustment
Note
Check and adjustment of CTL/TC head zenith are required only when the CTL/TC
head is replaced. In any other cases, this adjustment is unnecessary.
Tools
. Flatness plate (SL-657): J-6086-570-A
. Cleaning cloth:
. Cleaning fluid:
Check
1. Unthreading End Mode
Check that the unit is in the unthreading end
mode.
2. Check the CTL/TC Head Zenith
(1) Place the flatness plate lightly against the
CTL/TC head and CONFI head.

Be careful not to damage the surface of the
CTL/TC head, CONFI head and TG-4 guide.
(2) Check that no clearance exists between the
CTL/TC head and flatness plate as confi head
reference in step (1).
If the specification is not satisfied, perform steps
3 and later.
If it is satisfied, perform step 7.
