Countermeasures for SV Error Code
When errors occur in the servo block, the protection mode is set. The "protection mode" is the mode in
which the servo control block stops tape running and the drum motor automatically, and maintains the
state. When set to this protection mode, the unit cannot be recovered automatically. If the protection mode
is set with the cassette loaded, refer to "1-6. Taking out the Cassette in Tape Slacking" and be sure to
remove the cassette manually.

The tape may be damaged if the power is turned off and then on with the cassette loaded.
