5-15. RF Adjustments

Perform the following adjustments when repairing or replacing parts of the RF electrical circuit.
Equipment and tool used
. Alignment tape (DTF-2) YR5-1A (Sony Part No.: 8-960-074-31)
. Alignment tape (DTF-1 YR5-1 (Sony Part No.: 8-960-074-01)
. Blank tape (Cassette for DTF-2)

Blank tape is a tape which is completely erased and recordable.
. PC (IBM PC/AT compatible computer)
. Terminal emulator software (DEC VT100 compatibility)
. RS-232C cross cable
RF System is adjusted all via SYS CPU by initialization of "THRU mode" (Refer to 5-11-3).
THRU mode is started by inputting "THRU" then pressing Enter key from the maintenance terminal.
PROMPT "[Select CPU (1:FMT/2:SYS/3:SV/q: quit)=>]" is displayed on the screen.
Input 2 and press Enter key. Now that THRU mode will be connected to SYS CPU.
Next, key in "RSMODE" and press Enter key.
In this moment, LCD will display IDR: xxxxxx same to the Line Mode.
