5. Checking the Tape Running at the T
Reel
(1) Set the slant guide alignment cassette.
(2) Set the machine to the F. FWD mode, and
then to the FWD mode about three seconds
later.
(3) Check that the drafting tape on the upper/
lower flange of the T reel and the top/bottom
of the tape do not touch in the FWD mode.
(Spec. 3)
Make the tape run for about 30 seconds.
Specification 3 must be satisfied for the
period.

Perform the check under the condition that
the amount of the tape wound onto the T reel
is in the range of the yellow label on the
upper flange of the T reel.
(4) Unthread the tape.
(5) Perform step (2) again and confirm specifica-
tion 3 is satisfied.
