5-4. DIAG Mode
h. CH01-Threading Motor Check
Function: Checks the threading motor function.
Refer to the next page on the position of each part.
Operation:
(1) Without loading any cassette, enter "CH01"". The following will be displayed.

Entering J, K or " ; " executes the threading operations shown below.
J: Unthreading
K: Threading
" ; ": Operations stop
" : ": Exits the threading test mode.
The following indicates the current status of the respective sensors.
When the sensor is functioning, the display changes from "_" to "*".
[Ttop-]: Tape Top sensor
[Tend-]: Tape End sensor
[Dew-]: Dew sensor
[Unth-]: Unthread End sensor
[Thre]: Thread End sensor
[SftL-]: Reel L Position sensor
[SftS-]: Reel S Position sensor
(2) Check the following.
1 When the J key is pressed, the threading ring rotates in the clockwise direction, then stops at the
unthreading end state, and the display changes from "[Unth-]" to [Unth*].
2 When the K key is pressed, the threading ring rotates in the counterclockwise direction, then stops at
the threading end state, and the display changes from "[Thre-]" to [Thre*].
(3) To end, enter " : ".
When the above fails:
When the threading ring operations are faulty
. Check mechanical faults.
. Check the threading motor drive circuit (SV-205 board).
. Check the threading motor.
If the threading state and sensor display do not match
. Check the Thread End sensor/Unthread End sensor (TR-119 board).
. Check the sensor input port of the CPU on the SV-205 board.
