1. Removing the Reel Motor Plate Assembly (Refer to steps 1 to 4 in Section 3-14.)
2. Removing the PA Guard (Refer to step 2 in Section 3-15.)
3. Removing the Motor Holder Assembly (Refer to step 3 in Section 3-15.)
4. Removing the Drive Gear Assembly
5. Removing the Worm Assembly
6. Installing the Worm Assembly
7. Installing the Drive Gear
8. Installing the Motor Holder Assembly (Refer to step 4 in Section 3-15.)
9. Installing the PA Guard (Refer to step 5 in Section 3-15.)
10. Installing the Reel Motor Plate Assembly (Refer to steps 5 to 10 in Section 3-14.)
Adjustment after Replacement
11. Confirming the Reel Shift Motor Operation
(CH02: Reel Shift Motor Check) (Refer to Section 5-4-13.)
Note
. When replacing the reel shift gear, replace the whole drive gear (S) / (T) assembly
and the whole worm assembly.
. When replacing the drive gear (S) / (T) assembly or worm assembly, prepare a
new stop washer.
Stop washer: 3-650-537-01
Preparation
1. Turn the power off and remove the power cord.
2. Remove the top panel. (Refer to Section 1-1.)
3. Remove the plate MD. (Refer to Section 1-2.)
4. Remove the cassette compartment. (Refer to Section 1-2.)
Removal
1. Removing the Reel Motor Plate
Assembly
Remove the reel motor plate assembly.
(Refer to steps 1 to 4 in Section 3-14.)
2. Removing the PA Guard
Remove the PA guard.
(Refer to step 2 in Section 3-15.)
3. Removing the Motor Holder Assembly
Remove the motor holder assembly.
(Refer to step 3 in Section 3-15.)
