Note
. When the CTL/TC head cleaner becomes dirty or is damaged, replace the CL arm
assembly.
. Adjustment after the CL arm assembly replacement is not required. However,
confirm the CL arm assembly operation.
. Prepare a new stop washer when replacing the CL arm assembly.
Stop washer (2.3): 3-669-596-00
. Two types of the CL Arm Assembly and the CL Guide Rail (Refer to Section 3-
20.) each exist.

CL Guide Rail
Use the new CL Arm Assembly and the new CL Guide Rail (or the former CL
Arm Assembly and the former CL Guide Rail). Don't use the former one and the
new one.
The color of the parts shows the part is former or new.
Preparation
1. Turn the power off and remove the power cord.
2. Remove the top panel. (Refer to Section 1-1.)
3. Remove the plate MD. (Refer to Section 1-2.)
4. Remove the cassette compartment. (Refer to Section 1-2.)
