Never touch the rotating drum.
If you touch the drum with hand or screwdriver, you may get hurt by the rapidly
spring drum.
. Make sure that the rotating drum completely stops berore cleaning or replacing
parts.
. Never touch the rotating drum during adjusting.

1. Removing the W Cleaner Assembly (Refer to steps 1 and 2 in Section 3-5.)
2. Removing the Brush Slip Ring Assembly (Refer to steps 1 and 2 in Section 3-4.)
3. Removing the Upper Drum Assembly
4. Cleaning
(Upper Drum Assembly Mounting Surface, Lower Drum Flange Surface, Tape
Running Surface, Lead Surface and Contacting Points)
5. Installing the Upper Drum Assembly
6. Installing the Brush Slip Ring Assembly (Refer to steps 4 and 5 in Section 3-4.)
7. Cleaning (Rotary Heads, Upper Drum Tape Running Surface)
8. Installing the W Cleaner Assembly (Refer to steps 4 to 6 in Section 3-5.)
Adjustment after Replacement
9. Confirming the Tape Running (Refer to Section 4-3.)
10. Confirming the Tracking (Refer to Section 4-4.)
11. Confirming the Drum Head Height (Refer to Section 4-10.)
12. Confirming the CTL/TC Head Height (Refer to Section 4-5.)
13. Adjusting the CTL/TC Head Position (Refer to Section 4-7.)
14. Confirming the CONFI Head Height (Refer to Section 4-9.)
15. Performing the Auto PG Adjustment
(3: Auto PG adjust) (Refer to Section 5-9-6.)
16. Performing the Playback System All Automatic Adjustment (DTF-2)
(RF01: RF PB all adjustment (DTF-2)) (Refer to Section 5-15-1.)
17. Saving the RF System Adjust Data
