3-19. Gear Box Assembly Replacement
Installation
4. Connecting the Harnesses (1)
Connect the harnesses to the connectors CN920
of the CCM-15 board and CN904 of the PTC-54
board and fix the harnesses with the bundling
band (B).
5. Installing the Gearbox Assembly
(1) Turn the threading ring manually and move
the pinch roller to the front of the pinch press
assembly.

Move the hole of the threading ring in order
to check the engagement of the gear when
installing the gear box assembly.
(2) Insert the projection (A) of the gear box
assembly in the positioning hole (A) of the
MD base assembly.
(3) Lift the threading ring assembly and engage
the gear of the gear box assembly with the
gear of the threading ring assembly.
(4) Insert the projection (B) of the gear box
assembly in the positioning hole (B) of the
MD base assembly.
(5) Check from the hole of the threading ring
whether the gear of the gear box assembly
engages with the gear of the threading ring.
(6) Fix the gear box assembly with the two
screws.
6. Connecting the Harnesses (2)
Connect the harness to the connector CN233 of
the HN-268 board and fix it with the bundling
band (A).

Avoid contacting the harness to the drive portion
of the gear box assembly.
