The results displayed and numerical values on the PC screen described in this section are just one exam-
ple and sometimes differ from those of the unit actually used.
Unless otherwise specified, both capital and small letters can be entered for alphabets.
In this section, "CTRL-C" key means pressing the CTRL and C keys together.
Vendor information setting mode (For more details, refer to Section 5-3.)
This mode is used to set various vendor information.
Activation:
Enter "CUSTOM"".
Termination: Enter "QUIT"".
Self-diagnosis mode (For more details, refer to Section 5-4.)
This mode is used to check the GY-8240.
Activation:
Enter "DIAG"".
Termination: Enter "QUIT"".
Download mode (For more details, refer to Section 5-5.)
This mode is used to download the firmware of the GY-8240.
Activation: Enter "UPDATE"".
Termination: Enter "QUIT"".
Log display mode (For more details, refer to Section 5-6.)
This mode is used to display the history of SCSI sequence and internal operation states.
Activation:
Enter "LOG"".
Termination: Enter "QUIT"".
ROM mode (For more details, refer to Section 5-7.)
This mode is used to display the ROM version of each CPU.
Activation: Enter "ROM"".
Termination: Automatically terminated after execution.
Service setting mode (For more details, refer to Section 5-8.)
This mode is used to set the RS-232C baud rate etc.
Activation: Enter "SERV"".
Termination: Enter "QUIT"".
Automatic adjustment mode (For more details, refer to Section 5-9.)
This mode is used to adjust the drive.
