5-13-5. Error Messages

When the GY-8240 detects errors during normal operations, it displays error messages on the LCD.
Example of LCD display
[E] Fatal >xxxx –––––– Major error code ..... Indicates the error contents.
>xxxx –––––– Minor error code .... Indicates details of the major error code.
For contents of the error code, refer to "5-13-6 Error Codes and List of Countermeasures" regardless of
whether the code is major or minor.
Message Details
Attempted to load an unformatted cassette → process according to "Formatting (DTF)"
Format?
(refer to page 16 of the Operation Manual).
Memory Check Err Memory check error occurred at start
Attempted to load an incorrectly unloaded tape → process according to "Recovery
Recover?
