Checking the Diagnostic Trouble Coda IDTCI
with
the Service Check Connector and Special Tool
When the PCM senses an
abnormality
in the input or output systems, the
!Q!J
('97
-
98) or
[QJ
('99
- 00)
indicator light
in
the
gauge
assembly
may
blink.
When the Service
Check
Connector (2P) (located under
the
dash
on
the passenger
side)
is
connected
with the
special
tool
as
shown
,
the
~
or
[[J
indicator
light
will blink the Diagnostic Trouble Code
(DTe) when the ignition switch
is
turned ON
1111.
When
the
~
or
[ID
indicator light
has been reported on,
connect
the Service Check
Connector (2P)
to the special tool.
Then turn ON 1111 the ignition
switch
and observe the
!Q!J
or
[QJ
indicator light.

code.

mining the
code,

system
