Troubleshooting Flowchart - Shift Control Solenoid Valve B
• OBO II Scan Tool indicates Code
P0758.
• Self-diagnosis

tor light blinks eight times.
If the PGM Tester is available,
retrieve the
AfT
Freeze Data, then
clear the PCM.
Test-drive the vehicle under the
same conditions the Freeze Data
was recorded.
Did the code return?
YES
Check for a Short to Power:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the B (25P) and 0
(16P) connectors from the
PCM.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON
1111.
4. Measure the voltage between
the D2 and 820 or 822 termi·
nals.

Measure Shift Control Solenoid
Valve B Resistance:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Measure the resistance
between the 02 and 820 or
822 terminals.

Intermittent failure. The system
is OK at this time. Check the fit
of the pins in all connectors
affected by this code.
Wire side of female terminals
Repair short to power in the wire
between the 02 terminal and the
shift control solenoid valve B.
