PGM-FI Main Relay (cont'd)
Troubleshooting

Engine will not start.

Inspection of PGM-FI main
,~ay and relay harness.

Check for an open in the wire
IGNDlinel:
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the PGM- FI main
relav 7P connector.
3.
Check fo r continuity between
the PGM -FI main relay 7P con-
nector terminal NO.3 and body
ground.

Is there continuity?

YES
Check for an open or short in the
wire (BAT line) :
Me as ure voltage between the
PGM-FI main relay 7P connector
terminal No.7 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?

YES
Check for an open or short in the
wire (lG1 linel:
1. Turn the ignition switch ON
(II).
2 . Measure the voltage between
Ihe PGM-Fl main relay 7P con-
nector terminal No. 5 and body
ground.

Is there battery voltage?

Check for an open or short in the
wlr. (STS line):
1.
Turn the ignition switch to the
5T ART (Ill) position.
NOTE:
• M(T: Clutch pedal must be
depressed .
• AfT:
Transmission in

Measure the voltage between
the PGM -FI main relay 7P
connector terminal No. 2 and
body ground.
