Barometric Pressure (BARD) Sensor

The scan tool indicates Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1106: A range/performance problem in the Barometric
Pressure (BARD) Sensor
circuit.

The MIL has been reported on.

OTC Pl106
is
stored.
I
Problem verification:
1. Do the ECM/PCM reset pro
-
cedure.
2.
Start the engine. Hold the
engine at 3,000 rpm with no
load (in Park or neutral) until
the radiator fan comes on, then
let it idle.
3.
Connect the SCS service con-
nector.
4. Test-drive with the AfT in
[!J
position,
MIT
in
4th
gear.
5. Accelerate for five seconds
using wide open throttle.

Is DTe Pl1 06 indicated'?

NO

Intermittent failure, system is OK
I

at this time.

YES
Substitute a known-good ECMJ
PCM and recheck. If symptoml
indication goes away, replace the
original ECM/PCM.

OTC Pll07 or P1108 is stored.

Problem verification:
1.
Do the ECM/PCM Reset Pro-
cedure.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON
(II).

Is OTC P1107 or Pl 108 indicated? "
NO
I
Intermittent failure, system is OK
I
I
at this time.
I
YES
Substitute a known-good ECMI
PCM and recheck. If symptoml
indication goes away. replace
the original ECM/PCM.
