Disassembly
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the metal rings on the
intermediate shaft during disassembly.
, . Remove the set ring.

OUTER SEAL SET RING
Replace. Replace.
2. Remove
the intermediate shaft outer seal from the
bearing support.
3. Remove the external circlip .
4. Press the intermediate shaft out of the shaft bearing
using the special tools and a press.
INTIERMIEDllm SHAFT
Check f or damage.
ATTACHMENT

Check f or damage or distortion.

5. Remove the internal circlip.
6. Press the intermediate shaft bearing out of the bear·
ing support using the special tools and a press.

FLOATING RUBBER
DAMPER
Check for deterioration
and damage.
