Service Diagnostic Tests and Utilities

These descriptions cover each grouping listed in the Service Diagnostics menu.
Described within each group are special instructions, conditions, or other information
necessary to successfully run individual tests or utilities and interpret the results.
Similar tests or utilities are grouped together for convenience. The "Service
Diagnostics Menu Map" on page A-4 lists all the tests and utilities as they appear on
the display. When attempting to test a device that is not installed the "Option Not
Installed" message appears.

General Status Menu

The General Status menu provides a number of status queries about the printer and
any installed options. These values are read-only and cannot be changed.
