Drsss the shaft out of the sth synchro hub.
In the same manner as above, support the 3rd gear
o n s t e € l b l o c k s a n d p r e s s t h e s h a f t o u t o f t h e
3rd/4th svnchro hub as shown.
'1. Inspect the gear surtace and bearing surface for
wear and damage, then measure the mainshaft at
points A, B, and C.
Standard:
A {88ll bearing surlacol:
B (Needle bearing surfaco):
C (Ball bearing 3urface):
27.987 - 28.000 mm

Ssrvico Limit A: 27.940 mm (1.1000 in)
B: .37.930 mm (1.4933 in)
C: 27.940 mm (1.1000 in)
lf any part of the mainshaft is less than the service
limit, replace it with a new one.
Inspect for runout.
Standard:
0.02 mm (0.001 in) max.
Seivico Limit: 0.05 mm 10.002 in)
N O T E : S u p p o r t t h e m a i n s h a f t a t b o t h e n d s a s
snown.
lf the runout exceeds the service limit, reolace the
mainshaft with a new one,
I n s p e c t o i l p a s s a g e s f o r c l o g g i n g .
