lntermediate Shaft

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the metal rings on the

intermediate shaft during disassembly

1. Remove the set ring.

Remove the intermediate shaft outer seal from the

bearing support.

Remove the external circlip.

EXTERNAL CIRCLIP

4 . Press the intermediate shatt out to the shaft bear-

ing using the special tools and a press.

NOTE: Position the special tools so they do not

damage the metal ring on the shafr.

INTERMEOIATE SHAFT BEARING

5. Remove the internal circlip.

Press the intermediate shaft bearing out oJ the

bearing suppon using the specialtools and a press.
