Rear Caliper

Disassembly (cont'd)

8. Install the special tool between the calipet body

and spflng cover.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damag€ th€ inside of

tho calipor cylinder du ng calipGr disa$€mbly.

9. Position the locknuts as shown, then turn the shaft

until the plate just contacts the caliper body,

NOTE: Do not compress the spring under the

spring cover.

BRAKE SPRING

oTHAE-SGOOIOO

1O. Turn the shaft clockwise 1/4-112 turn to com-

press the adiusting spring B in the caliper body.

CAUTION: To plsv€nt damags to ths inn€r com-

pononts, do not turn thg shaft more than 1/2 tutn.

1 1. Lower the locknuts lully and tighten the locknuts

NOTE: Keep the locknuts in this position until you

reinstall the citcliD.

12. Remove the circlip with snap ring pliers.
