Shift Arm Assembly
Disassembly/Reassembly (cont'dl
gend the tab of the lock washer, then remove the
bolt.
Remove the interlock bolt.
NOTE: Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08718 - 0001) to
the threads before reassembly.

Replace.

Remove the shift lever, shift arm. and interlock.
NOTE: Turn the boot so the hole is facing down,

Install the shift arm assembly in the reverse order of
removal.
NOTE:
. Use liquid gasket (P/N 08718 - 0001).
o Remove the din oilfrom the sealing surface.
. Seal the entire circumference of the bolt hole to
prevent oil leakage.

lf 20 minutes have passed after applying liquid
g a s k e t , r e a p p l y i t a n d a s s e m b l e t h e h o u s i n g s
a n d a l l o w i t t o c u r e a t l e a s t 3 0 m i n u t a s a f t e r
assembly before filling transmission with oil.
