The following explains the procedure for tightening fil,

1) Make a mark on the cylinder block under the num-

ber that shows at the bottom of the filter when the

rubber seal is seated.

2) Tighten the filter by turning it clockwise seven num-

bers from the marked point. For example, if a mark

is made under the number 2 when the rubber seal

i s s e a t e d , t h e f i l t e r s h o u l d b e t i g h t e n e d u n t i t t h e

number 1 comes up to the marked point.

5. After installation, fill the engine with oil up to the

specified level, run the engine for more than 3 min

utes, then check for oil leakage.
