Default Configuration
By default BGP does not originate a default route. If a default route is
redistributed into BGP, BGP does not advertise the default route unless the
default-information originate command has been given. The always option is
disabled by default.

Origination of the default route is not subject to a prefix filter configured
with the distribute-list out command.

default metric (BGP Router Configuration)

This command sets the value of the Multi Exit Discriminator (MED)
attribute on routes redistributed into BGP when no metric has been specified
in the redistribute command.
Syntax
default-metric value
no default-metric
value—The value to as the MED. The range is 1 to 4,294,967,295.
Default Configuration
By default, no default metric is set and no MED is included in redistributed
routes.
