Setting up a high-reliability or critical-reliability configuration
Note:
You can replace the tone clocks with the TN2312BP Internet Protocol Server
Note:
Interface (IPSI) circuit packs and administer the IPSI circuit packs ahead of time.
The circuit packs are hot-swappable. Therefore, you do not need to turn off the
PNs or the carriers.
To set up a high- or critical-reliability configuration:
1. Determine in which PNs you must install the IPSI circuit packs. For more information, see
Determining IPSI placement in port networks

Not every port network requires an IPSI circuit pack.

2. Type status system all. Press Enter to determine:
Which port networks contain TN2182 Tone Clock circuit packs
Which media gateway contain tone clock circuit packs
Which is active
Which is standby
3. If needed, type set tone-clock cabinet carrier. Press Enter to make the tone
clock in the B carrier active.
4. Remove the ground plate and the upper and the lower rear covers from the media gateway.
