IEEE common command

This section describes the IEEE common commands.
*CLS
Syntax *CLS
Description
Clears the error queue, Status Byte Register, Operation Status Register, Standard Event
Status Register, and Instrument Event Status Register. This command has the same
function as the "CLES" command on page 279. (No query)

*ESE <numeric>
*ESE?
Description
Sets the value of the Standard Event Status Enable Register.
Parameters
If the specified parameter is out of the allowable setting range, the minimum value (if the
lower limit of the range is not reached) or the maximum value (if the upper limit of the
range is exceeded) is set.
