Closing the Instrument
Follow these steps to return the instrument to the closed
position:
1.
Ensure the instrument is turned OFF.
2.
Close the cassette door and centrifuge door.
3.
Fold the saline scale into its stored position flush with the
instrument.
4.
Fold the kit support into its stored position flush with the
instrument.
5.
Fold in the red cell storage container hanger to its stored
position.
6.
Remove the leukoreduction filter fixture.
7.
Disengage the hinge lock located on the left side of the
instrument by pressing the button and gently pulling the
top half of the instrument downward. After the
instrument starts to close, the button may be released.
8.
Gently pull the top half of the instrument down until it
connects with the base of the instrument. The front latch
should automatically lock the top and base together.
CAUTION: Do not place liquids on top of a closed
instrument.
Note: The instrument should only be relocated while in the
closed position.
