Meaning
The system has detected an issue
with the battery charger and/or
absence of the battery. The
instrument may be used; however, if
primary power is lost, battery
backup may not be available. See
Battery Back-Up section in this
Chapter for more information.
The system has detected an issue
with the stability of the containers
on the scales. (Applicable to 2RBC
procedure only)
The system has detected an issue
with the centrifuge door lock during
start-up checks.
Primary power to the instrument
has been lost. The instrument will
remain in standby mode until
primary power is restored. See
Battery Back-Up section in this
Chapter for more information.
Primary power to the instrument
has been lost, and the battery charge
level is insufficient to sustain
standby mode.
The system has detected an issue
with saline prime.
The system has detected an issue
with the loading of the plasma bags.
(Applicable to RBC/Plasma
procedure only)
The system has detected a software
error.
The kit has been installed on the
instrument beyond the acceptable
time limit.
The system has detected air in the
lines which cannot be purged and
the procedure must end.

If problem persists, contact the Hotline.
- Check that the red cell container is hanging
properly on the red cell scale.
- Resume the procedure.
- Open the centrifuge door.
- Turn the instrument OFF, then back ON.
- Open centrifuge door after STOP button test.
- Allow start-up checks to complete with the
door open.
- If problem persists, contact the Hotline.
- Check that the power cord is connected to the
back of the instrument and to AC power.
- If waiting for primary power to be restored,
infuse saline to donor to keep vein open.
- Otherwise, press the STOP button to end the
procedure.
- Check that the power cord is connected to the
back of the instrument and to AC power.
- The instrument cannot be used until primary
power is restored.
- Press the STOP button to end the procedure.
- Remove the kit.
- Start a new procedure with a different kit.
- Press the STOP button to end the procedure.
- Remove the kit.
- Start a new procedure with a different kit.
- Contact the Hotline.
- Press the STOP button to end the procedure.
- Remove the kit.
- Start a new procedure with a different kit.
- Terminate the procedure without
reinfusion and discard the product.
- Press the STOP button to end the procedure.
- If problem persists, contact the Hotline.
